The group covers the full spectrum of personal and commercial insurance: automobile, home, health, life, travel, pet, and civil liability products for individuals; and commercial liability, professional indemnity, cybersecurity, and business continuity solutions for SMEs and large enterprises. With over 4.5 million policyholders, Occident stands as one of the pillars of the Spanish insurance sector.
Occident is wholly owned by Grupo Catalana Occidente (GCO). As of September 2024, GCO ranked fifth in the Spanish insurance market overall and second worldwide in credit insurance — a segment where the group competes internationally through its specialist subsidiaries.
