What you get in each market: the exact visitor, or the company plus a suggested contact.

Happierleads works in 223 countries and territories, but not the same way everywhere. This page says plainly what a customer can expect in the US, the UK, the EU/EEA and the rest of the world, and which privacy rules apply in each.

The two levels

Exact visitor in 174 countries. Company plus a suggested contact in the other 49.

Every identified visitor comes with company data and on-site behaviour. What differs by region is whether we can also name the person who was on the page.

Company level · 49 countries

EU and EEA

In the 27 EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and their territories we never identify the individual visitor. You see the company behind the visit, plus one suggested contact at that company who matches the job titles you set in Qualify.

  • Company name, industry, size, HQ, revenue, tech stack
  • One suggested decision-maker per company, with contact details
  • Pages viewed, time on site, visit count, source and UTMs
Everywhere

What is always included

Whatever the country, each lead carries the company profile, the session behaviour and ad attribution (Google, Meta and LinkedIn click IDs). You pay one credit per identified visitor and nothing for traffic we could not identify.

  • B2B and B2C visitors, including personal email domains
  • Lead scoring against your ICP in every region
  • Same integrations, automations and exports

Typically 40–60% of a site's traffic is identified. In the exact-visitor countries that share is identified down to the person; on EU/EEA traffic it is identified at company level with a suggested contact. Coverage is strongest in the USA, Europe and Australia, then Asia, then Africa. Every website is different, so the honest test is a 7-day trial on your own traffic.

Privacy and consent by region

What the law asks of you in each market

This is what we know from running the product in these regions. It is not legal advice, and your own counsel has the final word on your site.

The Happierleads script sets no cookies. It keeps a few first-party values in the browser's storage, which privacy rules treat like cookies, so name Happierleads in your cookie policy under the same category as your analytics or marketing tools. You stay in control

Three switches decide what is identified and what you pay for

Country rules in Qualify

Set a Country rule to "Only include" or "Exclude" and visitors from other countries are never delivered and never charged. Combine it with page, industry and job-title rules.

Two switches per website

"Identify exact visitors" off means company-level only for that site in every country. "Identify companies with suggested contacts" off means no company-level leads at all. There is no per-country person switch.

One credit per identified visitor

A credit is used only when a visitor is successfully identified. Unidentified traffic and anyone your rules exclude cost nothing.

For agencies and partners: how to position it to a client

US, UK, Canada, Australia and most other countries: "You will see the actual person who visited, with a work email, phone and LinkedIn, plus their company."

EU and EEA: "You will see the company behind the visit and one suggested decision-maker at that company, picked from the job titles you target. Individuals are not identified there."

Mixed traffic: both happen on the same site at the same time, so a client with US and German visitors gets named people from the US and companies with suggested contacts from Germany. The split shows in the dashboard per lead.

Running a white-label or agency account? The same rules apply to every client workspace. See the agency programme and white-label package.

FAQ

Questions buyers and partners ask

Do you identify people in Germany, France or the Netherlands?

No. In the EU and EEA we identify the company behind the visit and suggest one relevant contact at it based on the job titles in your ICP. The individual visitor is never identified there, and there is no setting that changes that.

Is the UK treated like the EU?

Not any more. Since 22 September 2026 UK visitors are identified exactly, like US visitors: name, work email, phone and LinkedIn. If your site runs a consent banner, put Happierleads in the Marketing category.

How is exact-visitor identification legal outside the US?

We partner with high-traffic websites that offer free tools in exchange for explicit opt-in consent to be recognised across the web. Visitors who opted in there can be identified on your site. Details are in the coverage article.

Can I identify people in one country and only companies in another?

The two website switches apply to the whole site, not per country. Which countries create leads at all is decided by the Country rule in Qualify. In practice the law already does the split for you: exact visitor in the 174 countries, company level in the EU/EEA.

What share of my visitors will be identified?

Typically 40–60%, at person level in the exact-visitor countries and at company level on EU/EEA traffic. It depends on your audience, so the trial on your own site is the only reliable number.

Where is my data stored?

In data centres in the United Kingdom, Germany and France. Nothing is stored or processed in China. Happierleads is a UK-based company and signs a Data Processing Agreement with every customer who needs one.
